Pay hike for Central Government Employees with minimum of Rs. 900 from July 2019

Yesterday Cabinet Committee approved to increase 5% Dearness allowance additionally for Central Government Employees with effect from 1.7.2019. The admissible Dearness allowance is increased to 17% and the arrears from July to September may be paid soon!
After issuing formal orders from Finance Ministry regarding the payment of DA and arrears, all employees and officers will get enhanced amount of DA and arrears for three months very soon!
Grant of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 12% to 17% of the basic pay with effect from 1st July 2019.
What is basic pay?
The term of Basic Pay in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn in the prescribed Pay matrix level in the Pay matrix table as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission and accepted by the Central Government. But, does not include any other type of pay like special pay, etc.
Minimum Pay Hike Calculation for Pay matrix level 1 to 12
Pay Matrix Level – 1 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 900 (18000 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 2 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 995 (19900 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 3 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 1,085 (21700 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 4 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 1,275 (25500 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 5 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 1,460 (29200 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 6 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 1,770 (35400 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 7 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 2,245 (44900 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 8 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 2,380 (47600 x 5%)
Pay Matrix Level – 9 (Minimum Pay) = Rs. 2,655 (53100 x 5%)
