Sub: Renewal of appointment of AMAs for the year (2019-20)-reg.
The list containing the panel of 36 Doctors as Authorized Medical Attendants under Central Civil Services (Medical Attendance) Rules for the year 2019-20 is enclosed herewith.
All the authorized Medical attendants are requested to adhere to the provisions of the Central Civil Services (Medical Attendance) Rules in letter and spirit. Any failure or lapse on the part of AMAs will entail termination of their nomination as AMAs even before expiry of the tenure.
The Head of Departments or the Member offices are requested to consider the nomination of AMAs under O.M. of G.I.M.H. & F.P.O.M. No. S14025/113/79-MS dated 28th May, 1982 and C & A.G. Cir.No. 445- Audit / 17/87/III/90(86), dated 10th August, 1990.
“Though the panel has to be drawn by the Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee keeping in view the requirements of the Central Government Employees stationed at a particular place and their geographical distribution, the actual nomination of Authorized Medical Attendants should be done by the individual Heads of Department to meet their requirement. Hence, all Doctors included in the panel would not be nominated for a particular office / Department, unless considered very essential. Only the Doctors from the panel nominated by the Heads of Department as Authorized Medical Attendants. This will be in addition to Authorized Medical Attendants who are Central or State / Union Territories Government Employees as envisaged under rule 2(a) of the CS (MA) Rules”.
All the members of the CGEWCC are requested to inform this office difficulties faced, if any while taking treatment with the AMAs for taking appropriate at our end.
