Due to the impending threat of the Michaung cyclone, the Andhra Pradesh State Government has taken the necessary precautions by declaring a two-day holiday for schools in NRT and Krishna District. This decision aims to prioritize the safety and well-being of students and educational institutions. The missed academic days will be compensated by scheduling them on the upcoming second Saturdays, ensuring that the required 220 working days are maintained.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu is also bracing itself for the cyclone’s impact. The government has declared a public holiday in anticipation of heavy rainfall and strong winds. Private organizations have been advised to allow their employees to work from home, minimizing any potential risks. This decision applies to various sectors, such as schools, colleges, government offices, public undertakings, corporations, boards, banks, and financial institutions.
In light of the circumstances, the Chennai Metro Rail Company has appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and prioritize safety if travel is unavoidable. The authorities are taking proactive measures to ensure the well-being of the people and minimize any potential harm caused by the Michaung cyclone.
